Ticketing FAQs

  • When do tickets go on sale for the Sarasota Ballet's 2010 - 2011 Season?
    • Early renewal letters are mailed to current subscribers in April and information for new subscribers is available in June. Subscriptions are filled in the order they are received and are taken through September 2010. Single tickets go on sale August 1st.

  • Who do I call to purchase season tickets?
    • Please call the Sarasota Ballet box office at (941)359-0099 x101 to request subscription information and to be added to the Ballet's mailing list.

  • Where is the Sarasota Ballet box office?
    • The box office is located on the 3rd floor of the FSU Center for the Performing Arts at 5555 North Tamiami Trail. Please use the Stage Door Entrance on the west side of the building. During performances the box office is located at the theater. The box office can be contacted by calling (941)359-0099 x101.

  • Who do I contact if I lose my ticket?
    • Please contact the box office by calling (941)359-0099 x101. A box office staff member will assist you by looking up your ticket purchase and reprinting your ticket, which you can pick up at Will Call on the date of the performance.

  • Where is the FSU Center for the Performing Arts?
  • Where is the Sarasota Opera House?
  • Should I have my tickets mailed to me or arrange to pick them up at Will Call?
    • If time allows, it is best to have tickets mailed to you in order to review them when they arrive. Check the day, date and time of performance and the number of tickets to make sure your order is correct. If you place your order less than ten days before the performance, Will Call is a good option.

  • How early should I arrive?
    • If you have your tickets, please arrive at the theatre at least a half-hour before the performance. If you are picking up your tickets at Will Call, please arrive one hour before the performance.
      Arriving early will give you time to get to your seat and review your program and casting insert. Please allow plenty of time for traffic, parking and a line to pick up Will Call tickets, as you may not be seated right away if the curtain has gone up.

  • Can I bring my children?
    • The Sarasota Ballet welcomes and encourages children to attend Ballet performances. It is important to understand that many of the performances run longer than two hours. Although there are intermissions, depending on the age of the child he or she may be unable to sit through an entire performance quietly. We recommend that children be at least four years old, but you know your child best and should decide accordingly. Please note that children of all ages will require a ticket.

  • What do I do if I can't attend and I have already purchased my tickets?
    • You can donate your tickets back to the ballet. Donating your tickets qualifies as a tax deductible charitable donation.

  • Does the Sarasota Ballet offer student rush tickets?
    • Yes, student rush tickets can be purchased an hour before the performance at the box office for $10. Students must present a valid student I.D. to purchase tickets.
