Children's Division

childrensThe Children’s Division ranges from ages three to seven. Students take Creative Movement, Pre Ballet and Primary. The Sarasota Ballet School creates unique lessons that allow students to learn technique, discipline, self-motivation, self-esteem, creativity and confidence while still having fun. Faculty: Marlena Abaza, Wendy Johnson, and Nicole Padilla.




Lower Division

schoolThe Lower Division begins at age eight and students take multiple classes per week. Levels I – IV focus on technique, proper body alignment. Students take classes in ballet, jazz, modern, and pointe. Level advancement is based on skill level and progress, not seniority. Faculty: Pedro Batista, Isabel Dubrocq, Dex Honea, Kate Honea, Wendy Johnson, and Sherry Kitchens.


Upper Division


The Upper Division’s minimum age is eleven and starts at Level V. This division is a pre-professional training program designed to prepare serious students for a possible career in dance. Student level advancement is based upon skill and progress, not seniority. Faculty: Jamie Carter, Isabel Dubrocq, Javier Dubrocq, Pavel Formin, Dex Honea, Katie Honea, and Sherri Ktichens.
